Artist Statement

I believe that commitment, positivity and professionalism work together to create a safe

and educational environment where committed dancers of all backgrounds can learn

and enjoy the art of dance. My goal is to instill emotional and physical connections

between dancers through movements which create meaningful works with themes that

the dancers can relate to in order to inspire both performers and audience members.

My choreography has foundations in ballet, contemporary, lyrical, subtlety, floor work,

partnering, and stillness. I believe that this helps viewers to see the dancer for who they

are as they do movements that best highlight their individual artistic voices, while

combining different movement forms in ways which allow the dancers to showcase what

they are best at. All these aspects help to create meaningful connections within a

community of dancers who are trying to find their life path. The movements that I create

allow for natural breath, allowing worldly stress to leave the dancers and make room for

the joy that dance brings.

In these ways, I feel my work can inspire and alleviate worldly stresses. Dancers often crave

professional influences that strive to continually provide a professional and enjoyable

environment. The arts industry is slowly shifting to a model that centers around teaching

in a positive, healthy, and professional environment. I will uphold my commitment to my vision as a dance artist by providing

professional, technical, and musical training in a healthy way to dancers

while I help them find a passion for the art form.
